Evelyn becomes Cassie's confidante as the troubled character laments her ongoing problems with Steve McDonald.
Cassie recently became public enemy number one on the cobbles as she was caught out for spiking Ken Barlow's drinks and stealing his credit card.
Last week, Steve appeared to forgive Cassie as they reignited their passion during a visit to Tim and Sally Metcalfe's house.

Cassie says: "He doesn't want to know me. I know [what I did was] wrong, it was awful. But I would have thought, if he's happy enough to sleep with me, he'd be happy enough to forgive me."
