Coronation Street has confirmed newcomer Brody’s secret agenda in regards to Dylan Wilson.
Dylan was recently ordered to serve a stint at the Secure Training Centre after his knife was used in the murder of Mason Radcliffe, with the character meeting Brody in the facility following his sentencing.
After receiving some harsh treatment from the other inmates, Dylan seemingly found a friend in Brody after he defended him and took him under his wing, though it remained to be seen if his intentions were entirely altruistic.

Monday’s (March 3) episode began with Brody beginning to show his meaner strike as he questioned Dylan on his history, saying that “nobody gave a toss” about his academic performance as the STC “wasn’t school.”

He continued further by threatening Dylan into not “sucking up” to the resident teacher Daniel, a bit of not-so-friendly advice that Dylan followed as he rebuffed Daniel’s offer of private tutoring in a bid to curry favour with his fellow inmates.
Dylan later called his father, Sean, to inform him that he didn’t need to be looked after by Daniel in the STC, explaining that the image of a “teacher’s pet” would be frowned upon even if his intentions were pure.

As Brody and his friends listened outside, the leader of the pack remarked that he was happy to have his “bezzy mate” in his “pocket” in case he needed him on a “rainy day” - what exactly is Brody scheming?...
Whilst audiences will have to wait to see Brody’s plan, the role is Ryan Mulvey’s first since departing Hollyoaks earlier this year, with the actor playing JJ Osborne for the best part of a year.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
