Coronation Street's Carla Barlow sparks a rebellion from her workforce next week after she's caught lying about their wages.

Carla is on a desperate mission to bring Underworld back from the brink after Stephen Reid stole £250,000 from the business account in the week of his death.

Next week, Carla returns from her business trip to Spain and glumly shares the news that it was a fruitless mission.

Carla goes into crisis talks with Sarah Barlow and they realise that they have little chance of paying the staff.

Their only hope is if they manage to get an important new client order out within 24 hours and agree a cash-on-delivery deal. If they fail to make it work, the factory will go under.

Carla needs the workers on board to get the order out, so she lies to them by claiming that the bank has traced Stephen's stolen money.

The factory boss falsely declares that everyone will be paid by the end of the day, but in the meantime, she needs them to focus on the order.

When Carla's deception is exposed, her team are all outraged and they make their feelings clear by downing tools.

Carla and Sarah beg everyone to reconsider, pointing out that Underworld will close and their jobs will be lost for good unless the order goes out in the morning.

With so much at stake, will Carla's workforce change their minds and help to save the factory?
