Coronation Street reveals possible blunder from Daniel in wedding storyline

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Christmas Day on Coronation Street saw Daniel thrill Daisy with a surprise proposal, to which she immediately said yes.

Now, Daisy is gearing up to plan the wedding as soon as possible... but Daniel has another surprise planned which might not go down as well as the first.

Daniel, in what he sees as a kind move, will meddle with Daisy's wedding guest list, digging up old friends to invite them in secret. What we don't yet know is whether there's a reason Daisy didn't want them at her wedding, and how she'll react to her fiancé's actions.

Soon after Daniel's proposal – which went ahead with the help of Ken after a robber took off with the original engagement ring – Daisy made it clear that she was ready to walk down the aisle without too long a wait.

The happy couple are now deep into wedding planning, and are at the point of drawing up a list of wedding guests.

However, Daisy reveals that all her invitees are fellow social media influencers, rather than real life friends.

She explains that she has lost touch with her childhood friends, but doesn't go into further detail. Maybe she just lost touch with them naturally... but maybe there's a bigger reason she opts against inviting the faces from her past.

Despite not knowing the details of Daisy's choice, Daniel vows to secretly track down her old friends and invite them to the wedding without consulting her.

Jenny reckons it's a lovely idea, but there's no telling how Daisy will react.

This isn't the first time Daniel's lack of understanding over Daisy's social media use has caused some potential drama for the pair. Just one day after the proposal, the couple were at odds over Daisy's scrolling.

And, producer Iain MacLeod has hinted that her social media profile will fuel a darker storyline, with a stalker creating trouble for the pair... and the chance of real danger for Daisy.
