Coronation Street's Nick Tilsley is threatened by Damon as dark drugs story escalates

Coronation Street's Damon continues to make his presence felt at the Bistro in upcoming scenes after he initially promised to just be a silent partner in the business.

Viewers already know that Jacob's dad Damon has been using his stake in the Bistro as leverage to get him a job. His aim has been to use his son's position to allow him to make secret drug deals.

In upcoming scenes, Damon suggests to Nick and Leanne they should all come up with some new ideas to improve business at the Bistro.

Leanne is immediately won over by some of Damon's big ideas, but Nick is initially warier. His concerns only grow larger when Ryan shares that, according to his mate in Ibiza, Damon is a known drug dealer and once put a rival club owner in hospital.

Nick, worried about his livelihood, decides to confront Damon about the rumours he's been hearing. In a heated conversation, Nick makes it very clear that he won't allow drugs in the Bistro.

However, Damon tells him that he has no choice unless he wants Leanne to find out that he accepted money from Harvey to save the business. But what will Nick do?

Meanwhile, Corrie executive producer Iain MacLeod recently hinted the character will be sticking around, as Damon may get a surprising love interest later this year.

"As the year goes on, Damon has a magnetic attraction for a notable high-profile female character, who ends up having her head turned," the producer told Digital Spy and other media earlier this month, noting it will have "far-reaching consequences".

He continued: "We're currently working on June storylines. There's a build-up and a colossal explosion in that story, involving Damon and this love story that will be on air then."
