Coronation Street reveals Teddy fate after accident

Coronation Street revealed Teddy's fate following his accident, which happened just as he was about to expose Stephen Reid's murder cover-up.

Stephen accidentally killed Leo during a fight at the factory in September and then made it look like Leo had moved to Canada. Leo's dad Teddy became suspicious of Stephen after discovering his son never made it to Canada.

Just as the realisation dawned on Teddy that Stephen might have something to do with Leo's disappearance, though, he was hit by a van. Stephen lied about what happened and then looked to finish Teddy off, although he was unable to. Now, in tonight's episode, it was revealed that Teddy survived the accident.

Jenny and Stephen visited Teddy in hospital to find him still unconscious at first. However, Teddy then opened his eyes and Stephen began to panic, knowing that he could be about to be exposed.

As Stephen and Jenny sat beside the conscious Teddy, Jenny asked him if he could remember what happened. Teddy looked straight at Stephen and said: "Yeah. Yeah, I can."

He tried his hardest to recall what happened before the accident, but couldn't piece together the unfortunate events.

"It’s probably wise not to think too hard, put yourself under too much pressure," Stephen said.

Teddy remembered speaking to Stephen about Leo, but the memories were clearly hazy after his accident. Stephen stuck to his story and insisted that Teddy told him he had seen Leo in Canada, but Jenny was unsure.

"I don’t believe that you went to Canada and saw Leo and you can’t remember any of it," Jenny said, while a frustrated Teddy failed to recall what happened.

For now, then, it looks like Stephen's dark secret is safe, but for how much longer?
