Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Hope Stape is set to make a surprising move on Coronation Street amid the drama over the book on her father John.

Things have understandably gotten tense since it was revealed that a book about the serial killer would be published this week – though it seems Hope will turn events to her advantage.

In next week's scenes, Hope becomes the centre of attention in the aftermath of the publication, and in the school corridor she unexpectedly reveals that she will be doing a reading from the book, as well as signing autographs for £1.

"Both Fiz and Tyrone are really upset that this situation is rearing its ugly head," star Alan Halsall recently explained.

"It puts them in a position where they are going to have to speak to Hope about John Stape before they have wanted to. Tyrone is also really upset about it because he feels like it's out of his control."

He added: "He doesn't know how this is going to disrupt their family life. Tyrone feels like he's only just settled back in with Fiz and the kids and he doesn't want anything to ruin this moment so it's the fear of the unknown and he is scared of what might happen next."

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
