Coronation Street newcomer Glenda Shuttleworth is set to face suspicion after Jenny Connor suffers an injury in The Rovers.

Glenda, who is George Shuttleworth's sister, recently arrived on the cobbles, and managed to land a job in the pub after Jenny and Daisy Midgeley decided to give her a shot. However, Jenny may be thinking twice after the latest turn of events.

In upcoming scenes, Glenda goes all out with her outfit as she prepares to host the pub quiz, though is left angry after Daisy informs her that Jenny is better, and will thus be able to host the quiz instead.

Glenda has already made quite the impression since her arrival, with Eileen Grimshaw already expressing concern after Jenny offered her the job at The Rovers.

Glenda actress Jodie Prenger previously said of the role: "I know I sound like a soppy sod, but it's been on my bucket list to be in Coronation Street since I was little. It's an honour, it truly is a very special moment in my life.

"To be part of something my family and I have loved for so long. And what a character, oh I have to say, total dream part."

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
