Aadi and Kelly are forging ahead with their wedding plans in Coronation Street, but Dev's reservations about it threaten to tear his family apart in scenes to air on the ITV soap next week.
Having already voiced his concerns to Aadi about the upcoming nuptials, Dev is shocked when he finds out that they are still going ahead with it – and they have arranged to marry in Gretna Green.
Dev finds himself unable to hide his feelings on the subject and loses his cool with Aadi, telling him that he is making the biggest mistake of his life by leaving himself stuck with somebody like Kelly.

Kelly and Aadi are hurt by the outburst but decide that they would be best off putting their energy into getting Dev to accept them.

With that in mind, the pair begin organizing an engagement party in the hope that Dev will change his tune when he sees how happy they both are.
Sensing that Dev could do with some advice before he loses his son for good, Gary has a word with him and encourages him to accept the marriage for the sake of everybody’s happiness.
But will Dev listen, or will he decide that he would rather stick to his guns?

While Aadi is still determined to marry Kelly, viewers have a strong hunch that it won’t work out for him as Kelly actress Millie Gibson is leaving the role in the next few weeks.
And she will have much more on her mind than marriage as the truth about what happened between Gary and Rick is about to emerge.
Whether Kelly does find out all the details remains to be seen, but if she does, will she be able to forgive Gary for killing her dad before she says goodbye to Weatherfield for good?
