Coronation Street's Kevin and Abi Webster have been through a lot since they first got together, and for a while it looked like their relationship was over for good when it was discovered that Abi had a one night stand with Imran, which resulted in baby Alfie.
But the couple decided to give things a go again and raise baby Alfie as their own, a decision that actor Michael Le Vell is all for.
"It was the right thing to do and sets up a whole new direction going forward," he told Inside Soap.

"What will they tell Alfie about his real dad? I never what to know what's coming up long-term, I like the surprise of getting each script, though I can imagine raising Alfie will provide strong storylines in the future. You worry, after 40 years, they'll run out of ideas for your character!"

When asked why he thinks Kevin and Abi work together so well as a couple, Le Vell stated that "they're both flawed, which means forgiveness comes quicker".
"Without forgiveness you can't move on from hard times: I think Kevin and Abi are good at forgiving each other and that support makes them stronger... Kevin feels so strongly for Abi and wants her to be happy, especially after losing Seb.

"In the short time they've been together they've helped each other through loads of heavy stuff."
It looks like whatever the writers have in store for Kevin, Abi and Alfie, the couple will stay strong and get through it together.
