Coronation Street's Paddy Bever has been at the centre of quite a lot of stories as David Platt's tearaway son Max Turner – from his attempts to ruin Daniel Osborne's life to being catfished by people he believed to be his friends.
Looking ahead, the actor hopes that his character gets to have some nice storylines, telling Inside Soap: "I would really like him to meet somebody who he likes, I think that could be interesting.
"And maybe to make some solid, concrete friends who aren't going to stab him in the back!"

Paddy described Max as being an amazing character to play because he's "so complicated", stating: "I love figuring out exactly why he's doing everything that he's doing.
"One minute he's being really cheeky and causing a fuss, and the next you'll see him being really vulnerable. Underneath it all, he's just a scared, angsty teenager — he keeps me on my toes!"

He also agreed with the assessment that Max is becoming the new David, explaining that it's something he talks about with Jack P Shepherd a lot.
"Jack is one of those people I can ask, 'Which of these takes do you think I did better?' and he'll just tell me. He won't beat around the bush," Paddy explained.

"He's a good person to look up to because he's been on Corrie since he was young.
"He's a very talented man, and I think you're only ever really as good as the person you're acting opposite. It's nice to have someone I trust."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
