Coronation Street teen Summer Spellman will be left feeling betrayed after she makes a new discovery in episodes that will air next week.
Summer turns 18 in the upcoming scenes, and over a lunch at the Speed Daal to celebrate the occasion, Billy hands Summer a letter which her late dad asked him to give her on her 18th birthday.
Unsure of what the letter could possibly say, Summer admits to Billy that she's scared of opening it.

Later on, Billy reveals that the nurse called to confirm Summer is in fact eligible for a glucose monitor.

Viewers will recall Monday night's (August 22) episode, in which Summer declined the monitor during her hospital appointment and then lied to Billy about it.
Looking out for Summer's health, Aaron interfered by secretly asking Billy to call the hospital and check the accuracy of what Summer had said.

In next week's scenes, Summer is upset that Billy and Aaron went behind her back and she has a row with Aaron for betraying her trust. Will she forgive him?
Later, Summer decides to read her dad's letter. Will it change her outlook after the recent risks she has taken with her health?
Speaking previously about Summer's struggles with her eating disorder, star Harriet Bibby opened up about some of the challenges that her character faces.
"I think sometimes when you're ill, attention to it becomes frustrating. She doesn't want to be different; she doesn't want people to treat her differently," she said. "So, I think there's a level of frustration with it, of people coming around to check in on her."
