Coronation Street teen Summer Spellman leaves her boyfriend Aaron Sandford concerned tonight (August 22) as he catches her lying to Billy Mayhew.
Summer is currently relying on Aaron to keep quiet after he discovered that she had been skipping her insulin injections and cheating her blood tests.
Aaron considered letting Summer's family know what was going on, but ultimately agreed to stay silent in exchange for Summer not telling anyone about his father's abusive behaviour.
In Monday's episode, Summer heads to the hospital for an appointment with the nurse about her diabetes.

Aaron joins Summer for moral support and he's quick to voice his thoughts when the nurse suggests that Summer should consider a permanent glucose monitor.
Wanting Summer to start taking her health more seriously, Aaron insists that the monitor is a good idea. Summer feels differently and insists that she doesn't need it, much to Aaron's concern.
Later, back at the flat, Summer updates Billy on how the appointment went.
Summer lies that she doesn't qualify for a glucose monitor, which unsettles Aaron as he knows that she isn't telling the truth.

When they get a moment alone, Aaron interferes for the greater good by secretly asking Billy to call the hospital and check the accuracy of what Summer said.

Monday's episode also features new developments in the ongoing Stu Carpenter storyline, as Alya and Zeedan Nazir discover new pieces of evidence which suggest that he was coerced into his murder confession all those years ago.
Elsewhere, Kelly Neelan and Aadi Alahan's new plot twist begins as they come up with the sneaky idea of entering a Weatherfield Gazette competition for a dream wedding abroad, planning to only use the holiday.
