Former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas made fans very happy after reuniting with his on-screen mum, Sue Cleaver.
Taking to Instagram, Ryan posted a picture of the happy reunion with Sue and his two kids, writing: "Today brought back so many fond memories. I was just a kid at 16 yrs old when I met this woman & she played my on screen mum for 16 yrs & here we are 22 yrs later with my own kids."
"I love you so much @officialsuecleaver but I'm still in shock you've joined instagram ❤️😂," he added.

Sue plays Eileen on the popular soap, whereas Ryan left the show in 2016 after playing the character of Jason Grimshaw for over ten years.
The star recently welcomed his second child, a daughter, with fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh.

Last year, Ryan revealed that he had quit acting after facing multiple rejections.
"I started off acting, I started off in that game and I really lost the bug for it," he explained to Mancs on the Mic podcast.

"I feel the reason for losing the bug is rejection and going to auditions and not getting them."
He also credited social media for this step back: "I went over to do Neighbours and I just saw on social media that there were quite negative comments towards me and my acting."
While he may have stepped away from the entertainment world, for now, the actor is open to "exploring it again".
"It's still something that I have in my locker if I want to explore it again," he said, "[But] right now I'm really happy with the direction I'm going."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
