Coronation Street's Abi Franklin is set to make a shock discovery about Corey Brent's father Stefan as she strives to stop his son from lying about Seb's death.
Back in May, Corey (Maximus Evans) and Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) were arrested on suspicion of murder, and have been gearing up for the trial ever since.
Over the last few weeks, each of them have been insisting that the other was responsible for Seb's tragic death. But in Monday night's double bill (August 30), flashbacks will reveal the truth behind the attack.

In scenes scheduled to air the following Friday (September 3), Seb's mother Abi (Sally Carman) will be seen growing increasingly more frustrated over Corey's lies on the stand, and lashing out at Corey's dad outside the courtroom.

Raging, she orders him to get the teen to tell the judge and jury what really happened and warned that if he doesn't, he'll eventually be caught out for fibbing and the repercussions will prove much worse the second time around.

Abi then accuses Stefan of trying to buy Corey's innocence with bribes, which he denies, but his obvious nervousness surrounding the subject piques her interest.
Determined to dig up dirt on the Brents, Abi searches his social media accounts, will she find any proof? And if she does, could it affect the trial?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, September 3 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
