Coronation Street's Nina makes big decision over image at trial

Coronation Street's Nina Lucas is set to make a bold statement when it comes to her appearance next week, as Kelly Neelan and Corey Brent stand trial for the murder of Seb Franklin.

Since the vicious attack – which resulted in Nina being hospitalised, while her boyfriend Seb Franklin lost his life – back in May, Nina (Mollie Gallagher) has toned down her goth image and voiced her fears over being targeted again while out and about.

But in scenes scheduled to air on Wednesday, September 1, Nina's uncle Roy Cropper (David Neilson) will be seen pulling her to one side prior to her appearance in court and encouraging her to embrace the real her.

He argues that no one deserves to be treated badly for the way they express themselves and that she shouldn't be afraid to dress the way she wants to because of other people's prejudiced behaviour.

Inspired by Roy's words, Nina readopts her old clothes and makeup as she prepares to testify against Corey (Maximus Evans).

But how will everyone react when Nina appears in court to give evidence in her full goth get-up?

Elsewhere, it's been revealed that Corey, who Nina remembers be the one responsible for Seb's death, will be seen lying through his teeth on the stand and pinning the crime on Kelly, despite Nina's conflicting testimony.

Will he be able to convince the court that it wasn't his fault?
