Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street's Corey Brent is set to lie in court in an attempt to avoid being sent down for the murder of Seb Franklin.
The character, played by Maximus Evans, has been gearing up for the dreaded trial ever since he and Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) were arrested back in May.
Over the last few weeks, the pair have been insisting that the other was responsible for Seb's tragic death – something that Corey is going to double down on when he takes to the stand.

In scenes scheduled to air next week, Seb's former girlfriend Nina (Mollie Gallagher) finds herself suddenly able to remember what happened on the night of the attack.

She then testifies against Corey, recalling how she saw him repeatedly kicking Seb on that fateful evening, as Kelly begged him to stop.
Corey's solicitor Sabeen (Zora Bishop) does her best to discredit Nina's story, alleging that the reconstruction was staged, which prompts Nina to lose her temper in front of the judge.

Later in the week, Corey is questioned and swears blind that Nina's account is false and that Kelly was the one who viciously assaulted Seb (Harry Visinoni) as he tried to stop her.
He makes out that he was a victim in all this, and that Kelly's late father threatened to have him killed if he reported her to the police. Kelly is left incensed by his fibs.
Kelly's lawyer Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) cross examines Corey in response, suggesting that he killed Seb. Will Corey and friend Eli be rattled?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, September 1 and Friday, September 3 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
