Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Evelyn Plummer is set to get caught out as she tries to scam Dev Alahan and Bernie Winter on Coronation Street.
Evelyn returned to the soap last week, with Maureen Lipman reprising her role after taking a break from the show amid the COVID pandemic and the tragic passing of her partner.
Her storyline will continue to get underway in scenes airing next week, with Evelyn left annoyed to find Bernie working in the Corner Shop.

While there, Evelyn is further disgruntled when she slips on some spilt salad dressing and threatens to sue Dev and Bernie for criminal negligence.

As she perches her injured foot on a chair, Evelyn tells the pair that they should discuss compensation as Dev implores her to be reasonable.
However, while they need to keep Evelyn on side, Bernie admits she's not happy to be at her beck and call, and is forced to bite her tongue later in the week when Evelyn lists some chores to do.

Dev later spots Evelyn putting out washing in the backyard and leaves her furious after pointing out that her injury is much better.
He then admits to Bernie that Evelyn has played them for fools, which causes Bernie to fume and vow to get even.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, May 26 and Friday, May 28 from 7.30pm on ITV.
