Coronation Street has aired some tell-tale clues that Gary Windass and Peter Barlow could have something to hide after Adam's mystery attack.
Gary (Mikey North) and Peter (Chris Gascoyne) are two of the official suspects in the frame after Adam was attacked by an unknown culprit at the Bistro last week.
Monday's first episode – set on the morning after the incident – has now seen Gary and Peter both behaving suspiciously.
First up, Gary returned home to the flat he shares with his wife Maria, having been out all night. Tellingly, he was scrubbing his hands furiously at the kitchen sink.

The bad boy told Maria that he'd been out looking for Ray Crosby all night, after the evil businessman tried to rape his sister Faye.
Gary explained that he'd been driving around for hours but was unable to find Ray.
Later, when Maria pointed out that this wasn't a strong alibi in light of Adam's attack, Gary boldly asked her to provide him with a false one. Could he be trying to cover his tracks after secretly lashing out at Adam?
Meanwhile, Peter also seems to be in the frame after he returned home hungover with blood on his shirt – much to the concern of his partner Carla Connor.

Peter was initially vague about where the blood had come from, but later told Carla that he'd had an encounter with another drunken man on the Red Rec.
Recalling the night before, Peter explained: "He had a bottle, he fell over, he cut his hand open, I helped him and that's where the blood came from."
Do Gary and Peter's stories really stand up to scrutiny? Are these big clues or early red herrings? Only time will tell.
Coronation Street bosses have named Gary, Peter, Carla and Sarah as the four main suspects in the Adam whodunit mystery.
