Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver has revealed that her character Eileen Grimshaw will be drawn into a fake funeral scam.
Eileen will be confronted by a hearse, coffin and flowers depicting the name "Todd" after her wayward son finds himself in danger with a gangster.
Todd, now played by Corrie newcomer Gareth Pierce, is currently trying his best to hide from a dangerous man called Mick after stealing money from him. This has led to him being reported to the police as a missing person.

Eileen explains how worried everyone is about him – adding that a body has been found and the police would like her to identify it. Todd's mind goes into overdrive after hearing this, believing it's his best chance of getting off Mick's radar.
Speaking about the tense scenes ahead, Sue told Digital Spy and other media: "Eileen tells Todd: 'I know you're alive but I've got to identify this body tomorrow, when I know it's not going to be you'.
"Todd just turns around and says: 'That's the answer. Go there and say it's me'.

"Eileen is absolutely gobsmacked at this. It's the most disgusting, horrific thing she's ever heard of. She's horrified. But obviously she starts to think: 'If this is the only way I'm going to keep my son alive, what do I do?' So she's stuck between a rock and a hard place.
"Billy and Sean want to go with her to identify the body, but she says she wants to go on her own. She's obviously planning to go and thinking she's going to do this, but when she gets there, she realises that there's no way she can go through with it. She couldn't deny another family the chance of knowing what happened to their child – finding out that their child has died.
"Eileen thinks back to all that time she has been worrying about Todd being missing, so she doesn't go through with it."
While Eileen doesn't want to be part of any deception, her housemate Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) soon has other ideas. Eileen confides in Mary, who then speaks to her new friend George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) for inspiration.
Before long, Mary and George show Eileen a hearse – complete with a coffin and flowers depicting Todd's name.
George explains that they can stage a mock funeral so Mick will think that Todd is dead.

Discussing Eileen's reaction, Sue laughed: "She just thinks they're absolute dickheads, basically! She can't believe it.
"Eileen turns up outside the florists and there is the coffin and the flowers with 'Todd' written along the side. Mary's in a veil and they're saying: 'Come on, we're going to the funeral now'. She's like: 'Have you lost the plot?'
"It's the most horrific, stupid idea she's ever heard – and she tells them. But they were very, very funny scenes to film."
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, October 14 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
