Coronation Street spoilers follow
Coronation Street stalwart Helen Worth will be back on our screens as Gail Rodwell from next Monday (October 5).
In her return scenes, Gail receives the bombshell that her son Nick Tilsley has a son (Sam) from his previous relationship with Natasha Blakeman, and that he wants him to become a part of their family.

Although Leanne Battersby's troubles with young Oliver pose an issue for the new kid's introduction, Gail advises Nick to be straight with her and tell her everything, although he insists now is not the right time.
Later in the week, Gail is over the moon to meet her grandson for the first time, but how will it go?

Worth returned to filming a little later than other cast members post-lockdown, with Shona Platt actress Julia Goulding revealing that the veteran star felt like the "new girl" upon her return.
"It's funny, as Helen Worth was in the other day and she kept calling herself the new girl because it was her first day back," Julia explained. "Everyone is slowly getting used to it, as and when they're back in."
It was confirmed last month that the soap's older castmates would be returning in the autumn, due to strict coronavirus protocols.
Coronation Street currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV.
