Coronation Street's Nick Tilsley has found himself in a complicated position following the discovery of his secret 9-year-old son Sam.
Recent scenes saw Nick make a big decision when he told his former girlfriend Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) that he wants to be involved in the boy's life, but he may have to keep him a secret for a little while longer.
Tonight's hour-long episode (September 18) saw Nick confide in Sarah about Sam. Sarah urged him to be honest about it with his girlfriend Leanne, but there really couldn't be a worse time.

Leanne is still desperately fighting to save her son Oliver's life, having recently learned of a hospital in Germany that may be able to treat his rare condition.
Oliver's father, Steve, is still downbeat about the £500,000 needed for Oliver's treatment, uncertain about how they will raise the funds. However, an optimistic Emma promised that she'll come up with a few ideas and immediately got to work.

Meanwhile, Tracy insisted that Steve spoke to Leanne about the fact she'd downplayed Oliver's symptoms. At his insistence, Leanne eventually called the doctor and gave a truthful account of their son's condition, but to their relief, the doctor confirmed that he was still happy to go ahead with the assessment.

With all of Leanne's time and energy rightfully focused on Oliver, Nick knows that now is the worst time to tell her about his son. He told Sarah that she simply must not know about Sam right now, but will his dishonesty eventually come back to bite him?
The arrival of Sam, who will be played by 9-year-old Jude Riordan, will be part of an on ongoing story for Nick. He'll have to make several major decisions about his son's life while also supporting Leanne and her fight to save Oliver.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
