Coronation Street spoilers for Monday, August 31's episode follow.
Billy Mayhew has made an alarming discovery in Coronation Street.
The vicar may have stumbled on a deadly development related to evil Kel Hinchley in Monday's episode, while trying to figure out what happened to his former partner Todd Grimshaw.
Recent episodes have seen Billy failing to lure Todd back to Weatherfield with a bag of fake cash, after hearing that his crafty ex was back in the area.
The search took a startling turn when Billy learned that a dead body had washed up in the canal, sparking fears that it might have been Todd.
However, the vicar was initially relieved when Sean (Antony Cotton) came round for a visit in Monday's episode, as they found out that Todd has been ruled out as the dead man.

"The body that they pulled out of the canal, they said here it was a man in his 50s," he explained.
"Thank god, eh," Sean blurted out, before sputtering on about how he still felt sorry for whoever did actually die.
However, Sean's bantering drew Billy back to the detail that the person found in the canal was a man in his 50s — sparking a wave of fear.
The vicar hurried Billy out of the flat, admitting to him: "For a second there, you got me thinking it's someone I know!"
Once Sean had left, Billy glanced back at the police tip on his phone, clearly worrying if the dead man wearing "a security uniform" was Paul Foreman's (Peter Ash) abuser Kel.
Viewers last saw Kel on-screen back in January, when Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) posed as a teenager online to catch him in the act once again trying to meet up for sex. Has Kel been killed?
Viewers do know that there will be harrowing times ahead for Paul, as he begins to abuse alcohol just as Billy's former partner Todd returns to the cobbles.
Coronation Street continues on Wednesday (September 2) at 7.30pm on ITV.
