Coronation Street isn't expecting to welcome back Todd Grimshaw until the autumn, but the ITV soap is already setting the scene for the character's long-awaited return.
Todd last appeared on the cobbles in 2017 but was hastily written out of the soap following Bruno Langley's axe. Three years later, Todd is set to revisit Weatherfield after running into a spot of trouble.
Ahead of Gareth Pierce's debut in the role later this year, Coronation Street has now revealed the first details of his return storyline – and Mary and Sean are involved.

In scenes set to air next week, Mary and Sean make a shocking discovery after opening Eileen's post: Todd needs £1,000.
Billy tells Mary and Sean that they should tell Eileen about her estranged son's demands, but Sean takes a different approach and hatches a plan to see if the person behind the letter really is Todd.
After texting Todd, Sean is shocked to get a reply asking for the money to be hidden in Victoria Gardens.
