Coronation Street newcomer Tom Roberts has addressed his character Scott's mysterious connection to Johnny Connor.
Businessman Scott turned up at the Rover's Return tonight (April 15) looking to rent the pub's spare room on a long let.
While Scott quickly endeared himself to Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) Johnny was secretly stunned to realise that he recognises the new arrival.
And Scott's arrival will cause Johnny to take the drastic step of suggesting to Jenny that they go on a trip to visit Eva in France, leaving Carla and Peter in charge of the Rovers.
While we don't know what the connection between Johnny and Scott is, Tom agreed that his arrival makes Johnny want to get away as soon as he can.

"It's obvious Johnny fears Scott – he thought this guy was out of his life forever and now he's turned up at his B&B," Tom told Inside Soap.
"Scott has this jovial, sunny personality and he greets Johnny as though he's really pleased to see him, but there are things underneath that haven't yet come to the surface.
"It's pretty clear that Johnny wants to get away to France as quickly as possible to avoid Scott."
But it's not just Johnny who should be wary of Scott, as Tom says he's also going to "ruffle feathers" throughout the street.
"Scott is going to ruffle feathers of his old acquaintances and new friends," Tom revealed.
"He hasn't dropped his guard yet but there's a darker side that Scott doesn't want to show at this stage.
"At one point he tells Johnny there are no hard feeling about their past, that's a big clue for viewers and a hook that's dropped for them to suggest there might well be hard feelings."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
