Coronation Street's Yasmeen Metcalfe has plotted her escape from her evil husband Geoff in tonight's (April 8) episode, but her manipulative other half is still trying his hardest to keep her under his thumb.
After being under his coercive control for months, Yasmeen has finally started to see that his actions aren't right, and that he has been lying about multiple things.
Tonight she secretly met up with two police officers in the community centre, where they told her that he has a criminal past involving his ex-wife. She said that Geoff had told her about the pub fight, but was shocked to hear his ex-wife had previously made complaints about his behaviour.

They asked her to get in contact with them if she ever feels like she is unsafe and she agreed, taking home pamphlets about domestic abuse.
As Yasmeen returned home, Geoff tried to dress up his emails with the escort as him being duped and acted apologetic towards her. Unfortunately, he then found the pamphlets in her handbag and started to speak down to her in a very passive-aggressive way (without revealing he knew) before taking her keys and heading to the pub.

Luckily, Ryan Connor then turned up with a suitcase for Yasmeen to pack her things and escape. While she didn't get out tonight's episode, she hid the suitcase under the stairs in order to get out another time... if she decides to go through with it, that is.
Of course, there's also the matter of Geoff's secret camera.

Elsewhere in the episode, Gemma Winter's mental health deteriorated as she imagined her quads being run over by a bus, before leaving them on the bus. Meanwhile, Emma Brooker was faced with the news that Eccles the dog has an inoperable tumour and has to be put down.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm on ITV.
