Coronation Street fans have seen Geoff Metcalfe manipulating Yasmeen Nazir for months and months now in a hard-hitting storyline about coercive control.

He's been getting away it, although Alya has had her suspicions and protested about it. And now, it looks like she is going to take further action and actively investigate her grandmother's boyfriend.

As reported by The Sun, Alya will do some digging and discover from a news clipping that Geoff had assaulted another woman. She'll then present Yasmeen with this information in order to get her to see sense, but will it be the thing that finally gets through?

Tonight's (February 5) first episode saw Geoff lock Yasmeen in a box he uses for his magic show, which led to her having a panic attack.
