Coronation Street's Vicky Jefferies will consider making a shock exit in an upcoming storyline.
Vicky (Kerri Quinn) considers turning her back on Robert Preston when her ex-partner Jed – Tyler's father – unexpectedly comes back into her life.
Show bosses have cast actor Branwell Donaghey in the role of Jed, who'll be a new rival for Robert in future episodes.
Jed makes his first appearance this Friday (August 2), when Robert pays a visit to Vicky's house and is jealous to find him there.

Next week, Robert (Tristan Gemmill) grows even more irritated when he heads back to Vicky's and sees Jed there for a second time.

To make matters worse, Vicky is packing her bags as Jed has invited her to start afresh with him elsewhere.
As Robert and Jed both square up to each other, Vicky is unimpressed and warns them both to leave her alone while she makes her decision.
Will Vicky stick around for Robert's sake, despite knowing that she's not his top priority? Or will she head off with Jed, wanting a man who can be with her full-time?

Jed's arrival in Coronation Street was first revealed in paparazzi photographs a few weeks ago.
Scenes filmed on location showed Jed spark a fight with Robert by smashing a window on his Bistro van, so it seems that the tensions between them are only just beginning.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, August 5 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
