If the wait for The Devil Wears Prada 2 seems to be moving at a glacial pace, fear not: the newly released teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel is sure to help take the edge off. Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway both feature in the brief clip released today, which teases the return of Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs. We're still six months away from the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada landing in cinemas, but the new promo promises a fresh team-up in the hallowed halls of Runway magazine.
In the teaser, a pair of extremely fabulous red shoes can be seen strutting through an open-plan office, before they step into an elevator and are revealed to belong to Streep's Miranda. She's dressed in sunglasses, a black-and-white skirt, a black top and a red belt (not blue, not turquoise, not lapis, not even cerulean).
Before the elevator doors can close, she's joined by Hathaway's Andy, who says simply: "Miranda."
"Took you long enough," Miranda quips, as Andy puts her own pair of sunglasses on.
Madonna's 'Vogue' soundtracks the scene, which segues into a title card and the promised release date of May 1.
Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci are also part of the headline cast for the movie, reprising their iconic roles of Emily and Nigel.

Joining them are Kenneth Branagh, Tracie Thoms, Tibor Feldman, Lucy Liu and Bridgerton favourite Simone Ashley.
Lady Gaga is also slated to appear, and the likes of Sydney Sweeney and even Donatella Versace have been spotted on set too.
Speaking to ELLE about her return, Blunt said: “It’s terribly moving. Because [the original] changed everything. David Frankel [director] changed my life by casting me when I was an unknown.
"I’d been working, but no one knew who I was, and he was so sure that he wanted me in the movie, from a taped reading. That meant a huge amount to me.”

She added: "It did leave the door open for people to see me as more than a British period drama girl. It paved the way for character roles, which is all I wanted. I didn’t want to be an ingenue."
The 2006 film, which was based on a 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger, has also recently become a hit West End musical with original music by Elton John.
