My Mother’s Wedding, the "poignant and heartwarming" drama starring Slow Horses actor Kristin Scott Thomas, has released its first trailer.
Marking Scott Thomas' directorial debut, the upcoming film follows three sisters who return to their childhood home for the third wedding of their mother Diana (Scott Thomas).
Joining her in the cast are Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller, and Emily Beecham, who play three daughters from very different walks of life.
When hospice nurse Georgina (Beecham), Hollywood star Victoria (Miller) and Royal Navy captain Katherine (Johansson) return home for the weekend, they are "forced to revisit the past and confront the future, all with help from a colorful group of unexpected wedding guests".
Inspired by her own family history, My Mother's Wedding sees Scott Thomas take on writing duties alongside her husband John Micklethwait.

Scott Thomas said in a statement: "Directing has been on my mind for some time now, and it was a fascinating journey experiencing all the facets of filmmaking from scouting locations to the final edit and all the areas in between."
She continued: "The story has many layers and we took a good look at family dynamics, particularly between women and our romantic pursuits. Parts of the film are directly drawn from my own childhood, while others are what anyone with a sister can relate to.
"And it allowed me to work with a very talented cast led by Scarlett, Sienna and Emily. It was an absolute joy and privilege."
My Mother's Wedding is slated for release in the US on 8 August, 2025. A UK release date has yet to be confirmed.
