Slow Horses has confirmed the release date of its highly-anticipated season 5 – and shared a first image of Gary Oldman in new episodes.
The hit Apple TV+ spy series debuted in 2022 and follows a dysfunctional team of M15 agents who, despite being demoted to administrative duties at Slough House, end up involved in dangerous investigations.
The new series – which previously released a teaser clip – returns to the streamer this September, with Gary Oldman returning to his role of Jackson Lamb.
The new image shows Lamb in a suit eating breakfast in a run-down cafe, as he speaks on the phone with a stony expression on his face. But exactly what or who he’s concerned about is yet to be seen.
The six-episode new season will premiere on 24 September 2025 with two episodes, followed by one episode weekly until 22 October.

In addition to Oldman, the show stars Jack Lowden as agent River Cartwright and Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner, Deputy Director General of MI5. Christopher Chung will also return as resident tech whizz Roddy Ho, while season five will welcome Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed as a special guest star.
Season 5 is based on London Rules, the fifth novel in Mick Herron's Slough House series.
The series synopsis reads: "Everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend, but when a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected.
