Darren Aronofsky's Caught Stealing, starring Elvis's Austin Butler and former Doctor Who star Matt Smith, has released its first, action-packed trailer.
The clip appears to confirm one tenet of living in a big city: never, ever trust your neighbours, especially if they ask you to cat sit.
When Butler's former baseball pro Henry "Hank" Thompson offers to watch Russ's (Smith) cute cat as he goes back to London, he has no idea he's about to be roped into a dangerous criminal game.
Set in 1990s New York City, the film adapts Charlie Huston's novel of the same name, with the author also penning the script for the film.
If the title wasn't already pretty self-explanatory, the trailer confirms that Russ has been, well, caught stealing. As the British punk makes a swift exit, all of New York's criminal syndicates are unleashed after Hank, whose only faux pas has been to find himself in the wrong place — Russ's apartment — at the wrong time.

Eager to prove he can "handle it" to no-nonsense girlfriend Yvonne (Zoë Kravitz), the protagonist confronts Russ, who casually tells him he's swiped a large sum of laundered money. $4 million to be exact.
Meanwhile, Hank continues being hunted down by Russ, the Russian mob, the Puerto Ricans and a duo of hyper-friendly Jewish criminals who invite him over at their mum's (Carol Kane) for some matzo ball soup.

Soundtracked to The Clash anthem 'Should I Stay or Should I Go?', the trailer sees Hank leaning into the chaos of it all and being at the centre of some pretty rough fights and car chases all across town.
The cast is as stacked as they get, as Butler, Smith and Kravitz are joined by Regina King, Vincent D'Onofrio, Liev Schreiber, Griffin Dunne, and rapper Bad Bunny, here credited as Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio.
Caught Stealing will release in cinemas on 29 August.
