Disney's Freakier Friday trailer is officially here and there's even more drama than last time!
The long-awaited sequel picks up years after Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Anna's (Lindsay Lohan) hilarious body-swap, but it seems there are more mishaps ahead for the mother/daughter duo.
Freakier Friday will see Anna all grown up, with her own daughter Harper (Julia Butters) and soon-to-be step-daughter Lily (Sophia Hammons). "As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice," the official synopsis reads.

The teaser trailer, released on YouTube, begins with an eerie message from a psychic who gives Tess and Anna a pretty accurate palm reading.
"Oh that's interesting. Your lifelines - it's like they've intersected before. You've walked in each other's path," she says, examining their hands. "You learned a lesson - a lesson that may serve you again."

The pair quickly leave the reading but it isn't long before they feel the room shake around them, signaling trouble ahead. "Last time, it was freaky," reads the on screen text. "This time, it's freakier."
The next day, in an iconic scene recreation, Anna and Tess scream and clutch their faces as they discover their reflections, leading to Tess fainting on the floor. But while another body-swap is, of course, expected, there appears to be a two for one deal in store.

In a hilarious twist, the scene switches to the two young girls, with Harper coming to a shocking realisation. "Oh no, not again," she declares, looking down at her hands.
As they go to find Tess and Anna, it's revealed that Anna and Harper have swapped bodies this time, with Tess and Lily also switching. Lily (as Tess) screams and faints again.
The exciting montage sees the foursome struggle to navigate their very different bodies as they try to find a way back. The trailer also features returning stars Chad Michael Murray and Stephen Tobolowsky, plus newcomers Manny Jacinto and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan.
Freakier Friday will be released in cinemas on August 8, 2025.
