Freaky Friday 2 has confirmed its official title: Freakier Friday.
The news was announced at Disney's D23 Expo by stars Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, where photos were shared of their characters Anna and Tess driving in a car, and gasping at yet another daughter-mother body swap.
Curtis revealed that Anna is also a mother now in this film, adding a new dynamic to the drama, and admitting that it feels like "no time has passed" since the last film (via Entertainment Weekly).

"It doesn’t even feel like work," Lohan is quoted as saying, calling the film "more fun, more emotional" and explaining that Curtis is the main reason why they are back doing a second one.
Everything Everywhere All at Once actor Curtis also told the publication that The Good Place and Star Wars: The Acolyte actor Manny Jacinto will play Anna's husband, although she couldn't say more than that.

We already know that Chad Michael Murray is back as Jake, who is Anna's love interest in the first film, and it looks like he'll feature quite a lot in this one.
"Chad is in it. And boy, oh boy, is Chad in it," Curtis teased.
Other actors reprising the roles from the 2003 film are Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Stephen Tobolowsky, Lucille Soong and Rosalind Chao. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood's Julia Butters, The Social Dilemma's Sophia Hammons, and Never Have I Ever's Maitreyi Ramakrishnan have all been cast as new characters.
Freakier Friday started filming in June, and is expected to be released in cinemas in 2025. Freaky Friday can be streamed on Disney+.
