If thrillers and Cillian Murphy are your thing, then we'd strongly recommend catching his 2005 movie Red Eye this evening. Directed by slasher legend Wes Craven, the story focuses on hotel manager Lisa Reisert, who is flying back home in the wake of her grandmother's funeral.
At the check-in, she meets a seemingly charming man called Jackson Rippner, before they are seated next to each other on a plane. However, she quickly learns that this is more than coincidence, as things take a sinister turn when Jackson reveals he is planning to assassinate the head of Homeland Security. Lisa forms a key part of the plot, as he needs her to reassign the target's hotel room number – and he has kidnapped her father for insurance.
Red Eye was written by Disturbia's Carl Ellsworth, based on a story by him and Dan Foos – read on to find out more about the film.

What to Read Next
"The psychological mind-games are played to the hilt, the pressurised cabin air increases the edge-of-the-seat tension and the 85-minute flight time is gratifyingly short," wrote Time Out.
The Hollywood Reporter added: "It pulls just about every nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat trick imaginable, yet gets away with it through what is, admittedly, a clever and original gimmick."
Where can I watch Red Eye?
If you want to catch Red Eye, it is available to watch on BBC iPlayer in the UK. Fans can also catch it on Paramount+, which can be added as a Prime Video channel for £2.99 for one month, then £7.99 per month afterwards.
