Me Before You, the "must see" drama starring Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke, is now trending on Netflix. Based on Jojo Moyes 2012 novel of the same name, the film follows Clarke as a carer named Louisa 'Lou' Clark.

After Clark is hired to care for Will Traynor (Claflin), a former banker who was paralysed after being in a motorcycle accident, the pair eventually grow close and fall in love, before heartbreak hits.

The logline reads: "Vivacious, unassuming Lou faces pointed questions of the heart when she takes a job caring for a wealthy, cynical bachelor paralyzed in an accident."

Joining Clarke and Claflin on the star-studded cast are Janet McTeer, Charles Dance, Brendan Coyle, Stephen Peacocke, Matthew Lewis, Jenna Coleman, Samantha Spiro, and Vanessa Kirby.

Per FlixPatrol, Me Before You is currently the fourth most-watched movie on Netflix in the UK and the third most-watched movie worldwide

While the film received a mixed response from critics, it has been popular among fans, receiving a rating of 7.4 out of 10 over on IMDb, with audience reviews praising Clarke and Claflin's performances.

One fan of the film called it a "fantastic romantic movie", writing: "Those who criticise it for dealing with the subject of disability should look past the fact Will is disabled and look at the film in the light of what it aims to be, a touching, romance film. Emilia Clarke is great. Sam Claflin is brilliant. A definite must see film."

"I loved this movie. It stayed very true to the book and I love the book. I think Emilia Clarke was born to play her," penned another.

One viewer described Me Before You as "a most beautiful love story", adding: "I feel absolutely cleansed of negativity after watching this and my hope for the world is renewed. A glorious experience!"

Some viewers were less impressed, with another person writing: "Me Before You is a bittersweet romantic drama that plays out in a very predictable way. The story doesn't offer much surprise, and the ending feels expected long before it arrives. While the film aims for emotional impact, it mostly stays on the surface."
