If you're looking for a movie to watch this weekend but can't be bothered endlessly scrolling through streaming services, you could do a lot worse than the highly-acclaimed 2022 thriller The Menu, which is airing tonight on UK TV.
Directed by Mark Mylod, who has helmed over a season's worth of Succession episodes, the film boasts an impressive cast, including 28 Years Later's Ralph Fiennes, The Great's Nicholas Hoult, and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga's Anya Taylor-Joy.
The Menu sees a couple visit a mysterious island to attend a very exclusive and extravagant menu tasting night, only to discover that behind the chef whites there are some incredibly dark secrets.
The film is making its network premiere on Channel 4 tonight at 9pm, and will be available to stream on the Channel 4 streaming service afterwards.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a very strong score of 88% from 336 critic reviews.

Digital Spy's own review called it "a darkly funny, often shocking and unique black comedy that constantly keeps you on edge" while The Observer dubbed it "maliciously entertaining".
Rolling Stone loved how the film skewered the over-the-top food bloggers and Instagrammers, noting how "one particular line may or may not be a direct subtweet to Stanley Tucci".
