George Clooney and Adam Sandler fans will be able to enjoy their upcoming Netflix comedy-drama Jay Kelly earlier than expected, a few weeks ahead of its limited cinema release.

The comedy has been confirmed as the Cunard Gala of this year's BFI London Film Festival, which runs from 8-19 October in London and festival venues across the UK.

The comedy-drama has been written by Noah Baumbach (who also directs) and Emily Mortimer, and features a star-studded wider cast including Laura Dern, Billy Crudup and Riley Keough.

The UK premiere of Jay Kelly will take place at the Royal Festival Hall on Friday, 10 October, while Baumbach and cast members are expected to attend.

Per the synopsis, Jay Kelly "follows famous movie actor Jay Kelly (Clooney) and his devoted manager Ron (Sandler) as they embark on a whirlwind and unexpectedly profound journey through Europe.
