The Fantastic Four: First Steps is coming to cinemas soon - and if you're planning to watch it on the big screen, you might be wondering how long it is.

We can confirm that the new Fantastic Four movie has a runtime of 114 minutes and 29 seconds, or just shy of one hour and 55 minutes.

This makes it one of the shortest-ever movies in the MCU, clocking in at a similar runtime to Thor and Doctor Strange, which both run for one hour and 55 minutes.

The Incredible Hulk and Thor: The Dark World come in slightly shorter at 112 minutes. The 2023 movie The Marvels has the shortest MCU runtime of all, at just 105 minutes.

Set for release in UK cinemas next Thursday (24 July), The Fantastic Four: First Steps sees Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn team up to play Sue Storm, Reed Richards, Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm, respectively.

A trailer for the movie, which is set in a '60s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, confirmed that Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman) and Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic) are expecting a baby.

The synopsis reads: "Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner)."

Previously speaking about the upcoming movie, director Matt Shakman teased a unique entry into the MCU, promising a fresh take on the beloved story.

He said: "It's different in so many ways. I wish I could be specific. I wish I could say more. But we are doing things very differently from a story standpoint, from an approach to the filmmaking standpoint, that really fits the material.

"I wish I could say more. I would love to, but I can't. But I think it's going to be unlike anything you've seen before, and certainly unlike anything at Marvel that you've seen before."

The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in cinemas on 24 July.
