Christopher Nolan's best thriller Memento is streaming for free right now in the UK.

Starring The Brutalist actor Guy Pearce and The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss, Memento has now been added to Channel 4's streaming service, where it can be viewed for free with ads.

The thriller sees Pearce star as a former insurance investigator named Leonard, who is tracking down the man who murdered his wife.

Suffering from anterograde amnesia, Leonard has no short-term memory and must find different ways to piece together the evidence, using notes, tattoos and a Polaroid camera.

In a Digital Spy ranking of all of the director's movies, we placed Memento in the number two spot, giving it the highest ranking of Nolan's thrillers.

In a summary of the film we said: "As the one that put Nolan on the map, Memento has one of the most unique premises to ever grace cinema, telling most of its story in reverse.

"Starring Guy Pearce as the dazed and confused Leonard, he has to piece his life together using his fractured memories and a Polaroid camera.

"It's clear to see how Memento sets the stage for something like Tenet, and if it were made today, we can only imagine the blockbuster success it would have been."

Clearly a hit among critics, Memento has a score of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes from 186 reviews, with critics praising Pearce's performance.

The BBC said Memento was a "very complex detective thriller", adding that "Guy Pearce [leads] a terrific cast alongside Carrie-Anne Moss. If you want to see the beginnings of how Nolan became such a big director, this is one to watch."

"Memento is one of those jigsaw puzzles whose pieces snap together more tightly with each viewing. Fueling it all is a performance by Guy Pearce that's as indelible as the tattoo ink covering his body," wrote Entertainment Weekly.

Time Out said of the film: "There's grade-A work from all concerned, especially Pearce, but in the end this is Nolan's film. And he delivers, with a vengeance."

Memento is available to stream for free right now on Channel 4 in the UK.
