Severance star John Turturro has landed his next lead movie role in upcoming crime thriller The Only Living Pickpocket in New York.
The film, which is being written and directed by Noah Segan, will star Turturro as a career pickpocket named Harry, who is "forced into a desperate, high-stakes race against time through the streets of his city" (via Deadline).
Further details, including who else will star in the film and a release date, are being kept under wraps for the time being.
Turturro recently reprised his role as Irving in the second season of Apple TV+ hit Severance, which follows workers at the mysterious Lumon Industries whose work and outer life memories have been separated.
The new season premiered in January and surpassed Ted Lasso as the streamer's most-watched season launch.

"The series has become an obsession for audiences all over the world, and we can’t wait for people to continue to experience all the masterful twists and turns as the rest of the season unfolds," said Matt Cherniss, head of programming at Apple TV+.
Season two has also been a hit with critics, earning a near-perfect score of 95% on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes from over 200 reviews.
"Masterfully managing its two halves of adroit character study and surreal nightmare, Severance's long-awaited sophomore season makes cognitive dissonance a mind-melting pleasure," reads the site's critical consensus.

The series was renewed for a third season the day after the season two finale aired in March, and director Ben Stiller later assured fans that the wait for the new season won't be as long as the three-year gap between seasons one and two.
"No, the plan is not to [wait three years]," he confirmed on Jason and Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast. "Hopefully we'll be announcing what the plan is very soon."
Severance seasons 1-2 are streaming now on Apple TV+.
