Spider-Man 4 has confirmed its official title: Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Announcing the title during a panel at CinemaCon, where the film's director Destin Daniel Cretton was in attendance, Tom Holland appeared via video clip.
"I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger," the Peter Parker actor said, before confirming the film's title (via Deadline).
Given that Spider-Man: No Way Home was a loose adaptation of the comic One More Day and that the subsequent comic is titled Brand New Day, the newly confirmed title seems like the obvious choice.
In the comic, people forget that Peter is Spider-Man, including those who knew his secret identity before he was publicly unmasked.

Since the announcement, fans on Reddit have started to guess the plot, with one fan writing: "No Way Home was literally an actually good adaptation of One More Day, so we can all hope Spider-Man 4 ends up being an actually good take on Brand New Day."
Another Reddit user speculated: "The title doesn't really tell us anything about what the movie is actually about – it is just a reference to how Peter has a new status quo after the events of No Way Home, which we already know. I don't see why some people are insisting the name somehow 'proves' the movie is gonna be street-level."
One fan had a more in-depth take, guessing how the film would fit into the larger MCU, penning: "Based on all the rumors, I suspect the film will feel like a street-level Spider-Man story until the third act/ending where it's revealed to be a facade created by Doctor Doom after his inevitable victory in Avengers Doomsday.

"Peter will ultimately break free of the facade (maybe from help of another Spidey such as Andrew and/or Tobey), which will lead into Avengers Secret Wars."
Another Reddit user wrote: "I mean this makes some sense when you consider that NWH is basically an adaptation of One More Day (albeit it's a very loose adaptation and actually makes it good)."
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is released in cinemas on July 31, 2026.
