Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has finally confirmed a release date, but fans are in for a long wait.
Originally set for release in March 2024, the anticipated threequel was delayed indefinitely back in 2023 as a result of the strikes in Hollywood.
Sony has now provided an official release date for the third movie in the trilogy, confirming that the movie will be released on June 4, 2027 during its panel at CinemaCon yesterday.
As an added bonus to patient fans, Sony also released the first-look images from the highly-anticipated new movie.
A direct follow-up to 2023's Across the Spider-Verse, the threequel has been subject to a number of delays, with producer Chris Miller recently denying that the film had been delayed after work was scrapped.
