Spider-Man fans are waiting (im)patiently for the new trailer that's rumoured to be releasing this afternoon, but we've got some good news while you wait – if you're in the UK, that is.
On the official Sony UK website for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it's now been confirmed that the new movie is receiving an earlier release in the UK than expected. Originally set for Friday 31 July, it now appears that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is being released in UK and Irish cinemas on Wednesday 29 July.
It's fairly typical for MCU movies to get a release in the UK a couple of days ahead of their US release.

As seen in the first trailer, Spider-Man: Brand New Day sees Peter Parker (Tom Holland) face unexpected new changes that he can't control, while he continues to fight crime full-time in a world that no longer remembers him.
That's enough for anybody to deal with, but Peter soon has to face off against a shocking new threat to New York City in the form of a powerful villain no one can even see. It's rumoured that this is none other than Jean Grey, with Sadie Sink playing her, but we'll have to wait and see if that's true.

The new movie also brings back Zendaya and Jacob Batalon as MJ and Ned, respectively, as well as Michael Mando's Scorpion, Jon Bernthal's Punisher and Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner.
Alongside Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman and Liza Colón-Zayas are among the newcomers in the movie, but we don't yet know who they're playing.

We don't yet know whether Spider-Man: Brand New Day will mark Tom Holland's final outing as Spider-Man, but he has already been thinking about how he wants to eventually exit the role.
"For whoever's next, whether that is a Miles Morales, a Spider-Gwen, a Spider-Woman or something like that, I would love to be a part of setting up the next chapter," he explained. "Whatever that looks like, I don't know. But if I could do what [Robert Downey Jr] did for me, then I would be so content swinging off into the sunset."
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is released in UK cinemas on 29 July and in US cinemas on 31 July.
