A first look at new horror film Saccharine, featuring Grey's Anatomy star Midori Francis, has been released.
Best known for playing Dr Mika Yasuda, Francis now plays a medical student who takes part in a weird weight-loss craze: eating human ashes.

The first-look comes in the form of two new images. One of them shows our protagonist looking frightened as she stares into a spoon to try and make out a reflection.
The other sees her lying down in bed, but at closer inspection it's clear she's actually in a 'bed' made out of a bin bags.

Saccharine was filmed in Melbourne, helmed by Australian-American/Japanese director Natalie Erika James (Relic, Rosemary's Baby prequel Apartment 7A) with Aussie actors Danielle Macdonald (The Tourist) and Madeleine Madden (The Wheel of Time) also starring.
Stan's Chief Content Officer Cailah Scobie said: "An exciting addition to our slate of Stan Original Films, and a brand new production guaranteed to entertain our horror fans.
"Natalie Erika James is a proven powerhouse director in this genre and we've loved working with her and the team at Carver Films and Thrum Films. Alongside such talented creatives, Saccharine's incredible lead cast – Midori, Danielle and Madeleine – guarantees a distinctive Australian feature that will resonate with global audiences."
Saccharine will be released in Australian cinemas before heading to streaming service Stan, although dates have not been confirmed. A UK release plan has also not been announced yet.
Grey's Anatomy season 21 airs on Thursdays at 10pm ET on ABC in the US. Previous seasons are streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
