The first trailer for Ron Howard's drama In the Heart of the Sea has been released.
The clip sees Chris Hemsworth among the crew of a ship preparing to defend themselves against an attacking whale.
In the Heart of the Sea is based on the book by American writer Nathaniel Philbrick, which tells the true story of the loss of the whaling ship Essex in the Pacific Ocean in 1820.
The ship was attacked by a sperm whale and the tragic event is said to have inspired Herman Melville's Moby Dick.
The cast include Hemsworth, Ben Whishaw, Cillian Murphy and Brendan Gleeson.
Hemsworth revealed a dramatic weight loss for the role last year.
In the Heart of the Sea comes to theatres on March 13, 2015.
