Lake Bell has landed a role opposite Simon Pegg in forthcoming movie Man Up.
The actress - who married tattoo artist Scott Campbell earlier this year - will play a single woman named Nancy who is mistaken for the blind date of a stranger, according to Deadline.
The event occurs on the way to her parents' anniversary celebrations and results in her meeting her perfect partner.
Big Talk Productions and Studio Canal are behind the movie, with Tess Morris writing. The story made 2011's Brit List, similar to the Black List, a rundown of cinema-worthy films in need of collaborators.
Pegg and Nira Park will produce the motion picture for their Big Talk Productions banner, which was also behind Shaun of the Dead and Attack the Block.
British director Ben Palmer, who worked on The Inbetweeners TV show and The Inbetweeners Movie, will helm the project when it starts shooting in January.
