What to Read Next
Amid all the death on The Originals, the show offered a glimmer of hope in last night's (June 20) episode as two characters got engaged.
While we lost Lisina (Alexis Louder) at the hands of the nightwalkers, the impact of her death sent shockwaves both good and bad among the characters.
Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) decided to lead the Mardi Gras march in honour of Lisina's death, despite the risk.
However, more positively, Freya (Riley Voelkel) proposed to Keelin (Christina Moses), which ended in a yes... and lots of understandable joy among Freelin stans.
The significance of it was not lost on them, some praising the fact that it was done in Pride month...
Much of the talk of this series of The Originals has been the death of Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), who died in a noble sacrifice to save Hope (Danielle Rose Russell).
However, Tonkin has teased that there is more of her story to tell, explaining: "Without giving too much away, my final scene [of filming] was with my daughter Hope.
"Hayley's journey throughout all five seasons was to protect her child, and it was nice to wrap up the show that way too."
The Originals airs on The CW.
