The Vampire Diaries and The Originals star Joseph Morgan appears in a first look as the supervillain of the fourth season of Titans.

Ahead of the New York Comic Con this weekend, HBO Max has released a picture of Morgan as Brother Blood, also known as Sebastian Blood.

The picture shows Morgan in an orange-brown cloak and his entire body covered in an armour-like suit with a part of his face obscured by a white mask.

The streamer also released pictures of Lisa Ambalavanar as dark magic master Jinx and Franka Potente as Mother Mayhem aka May Bennett.

The premise of the season sees the titular team of heroes go back to San Francisco. But on their way there, a stop at Metropolis proves fateful as they uncover a supernatural cult who's powers are set to test the Titans like never before.

Morgan's character Sebastian has been described as "a highly intelligent introvert who hides a hidden darker nature". He was last featured in the show Arrow, where he was played by Lucifer star Kevin Alejandro.

Back in March, Morgan teased his role in the show by posting three moody pictures on Instagram where he held his hand up to the camera as he gave a stern face right to it. The whole picture was tinted in red light to reflect his character's name.

In the third season of the show, the Titans team travelled to Gotham City after discovering that their former teammate Jason Todd (Curran Walters) had been murdered. They then end up having to protect the city in the absence of Bruce Wayne (Iain Glen), and end up being targeted by a resurrected Jason – now a villain calling himself Red Hood.

Season 4 premieres sometime in November.

Titans airs on HBO Max.
