New filming pictures have emerged from the upcoming season of American Horror Story, which will see the return of some iconic stars. While concrete details are under wraps, it seems the coven are back, with the likes of Sarah Paulson and Emma Roberts spotted in classic black get-up.
The stars have been filming in New York City, with Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, Avantika Vandanapu and Alex Consani also spotted in the behind-the-scenes pictures.
Season 13 will also see the returns of Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Kathy Bates, John Carroll Lynch, Mena Suvari, Matt Fraser and Berto Colón, while fans will get to experience icons Ariana Grande and John Waters in the franchise for the first time.

A first look at Lange's return was teased earlier this year in an Instagram photo, which was captioned: "American Horror Story, Season 13. Day One. The return of Jessica Lange!"
Many fans expressed their delight and hoped to see a Coven continuation, with one sharing: "I need the witches in my life! Especially Angela Bassett as Marie Laveau."

Creator Ryan Murphy seemingly confirmed as such, responding: "Done."
Bassett previously teased that she would be back as her Coven character Marie Laveau, telling Entertainment Tonight: "I am playing the same character," saying she "loved" the role and had wished it "came sooner".
Reflecting further on Coven, she added: "You had the incredible Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, myself and a slew of wonderful young actors such as Emma and Gabourey. It was so much fun. With that story, you could be over-the-top and witchy."
American Horror Story has run since 2011, with the most-recent season Delicate airing in 2023 and 2024. Among the cast were Emma Roberts, Kim Kardashian and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, with the episodes based on the book Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine.
